Cool Campsites in the UK

Posted on May 22, 2020

If you reside in the UK and looking forward to a summer holiday (especially after a very out-of-the-ordinary year so far), we’ve got a great range of campsites to park up the campervan and become one with nature.

As expected, international travel is minimal (if at all) around the world, so local tourism businesses will happily welcome your holiday spending.

Ocean Pitch, Devon

Devon must feature top of the list and Ocean Pitch is right on the beachfront.  This is a great place for surfers or those wanting to learn with board hire and lessons close by. Suitable for tents,  campervans, couples and families with older children.

Cornish Tipi Holidays

If you fancy a night to two in a tipi, head down to Cornwall.   Able to accommodate wedding parties, freedom campers and tipis for couples and families. Catch fish in the lake and cook over an open fire, there are lots of memories to be had here.

Cotswold View Caravan and Camping Site

Glamping pods, campervan and tent sites, holiday cottages and B&B – there’s something for everyone at Cotswold View.  The Cotswolds is a truly beautiful part of South-East England, with woodland walks, delightful villages, terrific food and easy to get to from major cities.  You can even take the dog!

The Lazy Duck, Inverness-shire, Scotland

Stay in luxurious, unique eco huts, the bunkhouse hostel or intimate campsite nestled in the heart of Cairngorms National Park.  You can even reserve a spot in the wood-fired hot tub or infrared sauna, or book a massage or yoga class at the new wellbeing studio.

Low Wray Campsite

Park your campervan in a woodland or meadow setting, then head down to the shores Lake Windermere in the Lake District for paddleboarding, skiing, kayaking or sit and watch the world go by.  Low Wray also offers ‘tree hunts’ that accommodate up to 3 adults.
