We can arrange pickup and make a booking for our weekly sailings immediately. Our sailings from the UK are weekly and can take between 32 to 42 days.

Planning to ship your vehicle

Before you ship your car, caravan, boat, motorbike or RV we recommend you:

Purchase Marine Insurance - we can also provide this
Get the seller to take up close digital photos of the vehicle for insurance purposes
Ensure it complies with New Zealand standards. We can check this for you. You only need to provide us with a UK registration document (V5), and we can get our technical person to confirm the vehicle's eligibility
Make sure the vehicle is as clean as possible (this will save you time and money with MPI in New Zealand)

Customs charges:

There is no Duty on Motor Vehicles.
There is no Duty on Caravans (normally 5%) if manufactured and purchased in UK
There is no Duty on Motorhomes (normally 10%) if manufactured and purchased in UK
(the same Duties apply for caravans and motorhomes manufactured and purchased in the EU).

Goods and Services Tax (GST):

There is a 15% GST on all motor vehicles (except those that qualify for personal import). GST is calculated on the CIF value (Cost of Insurance and Freight).

If you have owed and used the vehicle for 12 months or more and been away from NZ for over 21 months or more you may qualify for zero GST (and Duty). Contact us to find out more.
